
Profile of Bishop-Prophet Gerald Coleman, Sr.
Originally from Corinth, Mississippi, Gerald Coleman, Sr. moved to Memphis with his father, mother and 11 sisters and brothers. From the age of 6 years old, Prophet Coleman was gifted from God to see the intangible through visions and prophesy to others the Will of God for their lives. Matriculating through Hanley Elementary, Melrose High School and C.H. Mason Bible College, Prophet Coleman then traveled as an evangelist with the Tennessee 5th Jurisdiction of the Church of God in Christ, Inc. Through his work as an evangelist, Prophet Coleman ministered to multicultural audiences of Whites, Blacks and Hispanics.
Professionally, Bishop Coleman worked in construction from the eighth grade later founding his own construction company, Coleman’s Roofing, Inc. Coleman also pursued a professional kickboxer career and reigned as the undefeated Middleweight World Karate/Kickboxing champion for 5 years under the Professional Kickboxing Association (PKA) until God gave him a choice: “become a champion for a season or a champion for a lifetime.”
After receiving his Calling at the age of 24, Prophet Coleman eventually founded his own Bible Study entitled, “Men Operating In Faith,” in 1999 which ultimately transitioned into Faith Keepers Ministry, Inc. in January 2000 at the Comfort Inn Hotel on Austin Peay Highway in Memphis, Tennessee. In April 18, 2008, under the leadership and wisdom of Prophet Coleman, the ministry relocated to its present location at 3362 Jewel Road. A Family Life Center was added to the Church in 2006.
God officially increased the ministry office of Prophet Gerald Coleman, Sr. to the office of Bishop in 2008 under Archbishop Leroy Bailey Jr. ‘s fellowship International Bishop Council (IBC) that is traced back to the Old Holy Catholic Church. As a result of his elevation, Bishop Coleman changed the name of his Church and ministry to Faith Keepers Ministries International Cathedral, Inc. (FKMIC). In February 2011, Bishop Gerald Coleman, Sr. founded the Kingdom Fellowship International (KFI) to cover 8 churches under his leadership. Respectfully known as the “Prophet of Memphis,”
Bishop Coleman has ministered to the Late-Archbishop G.E. Patterson, the embattled Bishop Eddie Long and other Apostles, Bishops, and Pastors while authoring several books. Presently, Bishop Gerald Coleman, Sr. prophesizes, preaches, teaches, counsels and intercedes on behalf of Bishops, Pastors, Deacons, Evangelists and laymen across the United States and abroad. He has been married to Elect Lady Marlene D. Coleman for over 20 years, fathering 4 beautiful children, and providing love and oversight to his 6 grandchildren while encouraging, edifying and performing signs and wonders as the Lord uses and directs him.
